Few Things happening in my life

Life is always full of surprises! Some are good ones and some are not so good. I have been praying and pondering over what our next few months will look like and what next year will look like. It would just be so much easier if I had a crystal ball, but no such luck.

Before I update you on my family and all the happenings with us, I would like to tell you about a family that I hold near and dear to my heart. First, I will start with the Mom (Melissa). She is a very genuine person and very sweet, but has been dealt a bad hand in life. She has three sweet children that she takes good care of and loves dearly. She struggles with an anxiety disorder that makes it difficult for her to do a lot of things in life. She would really like to become self sufficient, but needs some help doing so. I have been trying to help her as much as I can, but as you can imagine it isn't enough. She is really in need of a vehicle to get her from point A to point B on a daily basis. She is also in need of some employment and daycare. All of these things are needed, but she really doesn't have any money to put towards them. I have helped her look into CCAP and other foundations that might be able to help, but there is a lot of red tape when it comes to getting help from these places. Any suggestions or help of any kind would really be appreciated. Alexus is 11 years old and in 6th grade, Ileana is 6 years old and started Kindergarten this year, and Alexander is 15 months old.

As many of you know, I work for a Non-profit foundation that helps at-risk youth in denver graduate high school and go to college. They are doing a couple fundraisers that I wanted you all to know about. The 1st is Mustache4Cash & Color4Kidz. I have streaked my hair burgandy to raise money. Please go to www.Mustache4cash.org to donate under my name or under Byrne Urban Scholars! The other fundraiser they are doing is a Silent Auction and Dinner at the Ritz Carlton. If any of you can donate something to go to the silent auction, it would be greatly appreciated.

Jeremy and the rest of our family is still grieving the loss of his Dad! It is a very tough thing to cope with. He has left us to be with Jesus, but we are left with a big hole in our hearts. Jeremy is busy with business, which is always a good thing. He loves referrals though, so let us know if we can provide you with any of your insurance needs! He is training in Kansas City for the next few days, so the girls and I are on our own. We miss him already!!

Kyla is really growing up to be a sweet girl. She is very emotional and it can be sweet and tough at the same time. She is FINALLY potty trained after my many attempts. It is great to only have one in diapers. Kyla is continuing to learn alot and is very smart. We are surprised on a daily basis just how much of an imagination she has. She is a great big sister and loves to play with Kennedy and give hugs. It is just so precious to see the sisterly love!!

Kennedy is almost 2 and you can sure tell. She can throw some fits just like the best of em, but she is also very loving. She is a little more of a quiet soul, but she loves to laugh!! She is a little cuddle bug and is going to be such a light in this world.

I am continuing to grow closer to God during our good times and our hard times as well. I will be putting some pictures up on the blog as soon as I can find the cord to my camera!! Love to all your families and may God Bless!!

My New Promise

I have a plan to update my blog at least once a week. We will see how this plan goes with our crazy, busy life. I just want to keep people updated on what is going on with our clan. I am not the best writer nor will I ever pretend to be, but I thought this would be a good way to keep people in the loop! I will also try to let people know when it has been updated so people can log on and check it out.

Since I last update my blog we had another baby girl that we named Kennedy. She was born November 20th 2008 and will turn two this fall. Wow!! How time flies by!

We have struggled over the question of should we have any more children. Is our family complete? We know God has a plan for us and we are doing our best to understand it.

Jeremy is gearing up this fall to save as many households money as he possibly can. Five Rings Financial is growing by leaps and bounds and has added multiple new insurance products to help serve their clients. He is really excited about what the future at Five Rings Financial means for him.

I have been working part-time doing accounting for a family run business. They have a Non-Profit Program that helps teens graduate High School and go on to college. I absolutely love all of the people that I get to work with! That has been such a blessing!

Kyla is three years old and is becoming quite the little girl. She has a very big imagination and loves to pretend she is different animals and sometime certain princesses. It has been so fun to watch her grow and learn. She says the funniest stuff. I started to write down some of it, but other times just enjoy talking with her and pretending with her.

Kennedy is starting to talk. Mostly one word sentences, but she can sometimes put a few words together. She is a little cuddle bug. She is very good at giving
people hugs and kisses. She enjoys playing with her big sister and has no fear. She wants to play with the big kids!

We are so very proud of our little girls. They are really caring and sweet.

We continue to miss Ed (Jeremy's Dad) since he went to be with our savior. There sure is a huge hole in our lives without him. We continue to heal as time goes on, but probably won't ever be the same.

Please pray that God will bless our family this fall and that he will be proud of our work here on earth.

The happy little girl!

I don't know where to start because I still haven't been finding the time to post my thoughts. I guess I will start from the beginning. Last April Jeremy and I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Kyla Jean has been the light of our lives. She is such a happy baby; it makes it really easy to be a stay at home mom! When Kyla was 7 weeks old I had to go back to work. It was a very hard process to say see you later to my little baby after growing so attached. I worked as hard as I could to get back into the swing of things at the office, but it just wasn't fitting like it use to. I worked for about 4 months and decided that it wasn't going to work. My family needed me at home. It has been such a blessing to be at home. It has also been an identity crisis at times because I have worked since I was 15 years old. I know this is the best thing for my daughter, but sometimes I have a hard time knowing what I should be doing. Now my little girl is almost 1 year old and it seems like time couldn't have gone faster. I have been thinking on what type of birthday party I want to have for her. Do I just invite family or make it a big ordeal. I know that it will be fun to watch her eat a piece of cake for the first time.

Jeremy is busy working anytime that he needs to and being there for his wife and daughter. He is a really great father and husband. I couldn't ask for anything more from him. That is the best thing is that I don't have to ask him for most things; he just knows most of the time what I need and want!

Kyla and I are finally finding a routine that works pretty well and we will shortly be adding some more activities to the daily routine. We are going to be having some swimming lessons in April and going on a lot of walks. We are also going to check out the local library and see if they have a reading time that we can become a part of. I think this will help not only Kyla but me as well. I have been struggling with some Winter depression and can't wait for spring weather to be a normal thing here in Colorado.

We did go to Mexico last fall and that was a lot of fun. Here are some Mexico pictures of Kyla!

Forever and a Day!

I know it has been forever since I have posted anything on this blog. It has been so long that I will be really surprised if anyone actually reads it. I thought that it would be a good way for me to keep all my family and friends in the loop. I know that I love to read my friends blogs to find out what is going on in their families. I don't have any pictures to show at this point, but they will follow shortly!

Jeremy and I have been very busy with the holidays, the house, Real Estate, Kyla, and other priorities that have come up. We are trying to sell a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Dodge Dakota Truck; so if you know any one in the market, let us know!

We have completely remodeled our bathroom. You will have to see the before and after (soon to come). We are still in the process of deciding on paint or wall paper, puting up shelves, and hanging towel racks. The hard part is done though thanks to my hard working husband and step-dad. My dad came up to help with the bathroom because he is very good at laying tile. I don't think he knew what he was getting himself into, but it turned out absolutely magnificent!

We are also trying to do some painting, but it is a hard process when you have a little one. I don't know how some people do it. We had a Super Bowl Party and it was quite a time. Thanks to my Mom we were able to come up with some pretty good food for the party!

Well, I will write again soon when I can attach some pictures as well!

It's a Girl

Eventhough most of you already know that Jeremy and I are going to have a baby girl in April I thought that I would post the proof. We are so excited to welcome this baby girl in the spring!! She will be a very loved daughter, granddaughter and even great-granddaughter. I am about Five months pregnant now and it is just amazing the changes that my body is going through to create life. What a Miracle!! Everything seems to be going well with my pregnancy. She seems to be a healthy little baby. We do have to have another ultrasound by a specialist to see if they can find her right kidney. The doctor isn't concerned even if it turns out that our baby girl only has one kidney because a lot of people function normally with one. We will keep you updated on what the outcome of the next ultrasound is.

Thanks to everyone for there support during all the new stuff that we are coming in contact with!

Vacation

Thanksgiving was a great time. As usual Jeremy and I went with my Dad, Step-Mom, younger sis, and older sis to Mexico for vacation. Needless to say we didn't have turkey for Thanksgiving, but we did have a fun a relaxing time. It was nice to relax on the beach and do some exploring, shopping etc. These trips always give us a chance to spend time with family and experience new things together. This trip to Mexico was a little different for me since I am pregnant, so my sisters and I had a little different schedules this trip. I went to bed pretty early and woke up for breakfast while they went to bed late each night and woke up usually for lunch time. I did feel like I missed out on some fun times, but when I think about the reason it doesn't seem to be very important.

Thanks Dad and Anne for taking us to Mexico, it was a good time as always!

Fun with Friends and Family

We are just so blessed to be surrounded by the family and friends that we have. It is so fun to celebrate things with everyone! This last weekend we celebrated Jeremy's 27th Birthday! It was such a fun filled weekend. On Thursday night we had some of our friends come over for dinner. Katie, Ryan, and Eva Countryman came over and so did our friends Justin, Brandie, and Madison Manguso. The little girls were such a treat to see. They just grow up so fast. On Friday night we got to go to the Nuggets game, Trishy got us tickets for Jeremy's birthday. Thanks Trish!! We got to hang out with Trish afterwards at the Blue Sky Grill!! Saturday night we got together with my side of the family and went out to dinner! Very good company and the food was pretty good too. Sunday we celebrated with Jeremy's side of the family with some dessert that was awesome! Jeremy really liked all his presents that he got from everyone over the weekend! Thanks everyone!

Pregnancy update: I am 18 weeks along, almost half way through the process. I am starting to show so maybe the next post I will have a belly picture for your viewing pleasure. Hope this finds everyone doing well.
