Some are good ones and some are not so good. I have been praying and pondering over what our next few months will look like and what next year will look like. It would just be so much easier if I had a crystal ball, but no such luck.

Before I update you on my family and all the happenings with us, I would like to tell you about a family that I hold near and dear to my heart. First, I will start with the Mom (Melissa). She is a very genuine person and very sweet, but has been dealt a bad hand in life. She has three sweet children that she takes good care of and loves dearly. She struggles with an anxiety disorder that makes it difficult for her to do a lot of things in life. She would really like to become self sufficient, but needs some help doing so. I have been trying to help her as much as I can, but as you can imagine it isn't enough. She is really in need of a vehicle to get her from point A to point B on a daily basis. She is also in need of some employment and daycare. All of these things are needed, but she really doesn't have any money to put towards them. I have helped her look into CCAP and other foundations that might be able to help, but there is a lot of red tape when it comes to getting help from these places. Any suggestions or help of any kind would really be appreciated. Alexus is 11 years old and in 6th grade, Ileana is 6 years old and started Kindergarten this year, and Alexander is 15 months old.

As many of you know, I work for a Non-profit foundation that helps at-risk youth in denver graduate high school and go to college. They are doing a couple fundraisers that I wanted you all to know about. The 1st is Mustache4Cash & Color4Kidz. I have streaked my hair burgandy to raise money. Please go to www.Mustache4cash.org to donate under my name or under Byrne Urban Scholars! The other fundraiser they are doing is a Silent Auction and Dinner at the Ritz Carlton. If any of you can donate something to go to the silent auction, it would be greatly appreciated.

Jeremy and the rest of our family is still grieving the loss of his Dad! It is a very tough thing to cope with. He has left us to be with Jesus, but we are left with a big hole in our hearts. Jeremy is busy with business, which is always a good thing. He loves referrals though, so let us know if we can provide you with any of your insurance needs! He is training in Kansas City for the next few days, so the girls and I are on our own. We miss him already!!

Kyla is really growing up to be a sweet girl. She is very emotional and it can be sweet and tough at the same time. She is FINALLY potty trained after my many attempts. It is great to only have one in diapers. Kyla is continuing to learn alot and is very smart. We are surprised on a daily basis just how much of an imagination she has. She is a great big sister and loves to play with Kennedy and give hugs. It is just so precious to see the sisterly love!!

Kennedy is almost 2 and you can sure tell. She can throw some fits just like the best of em, but she is also very loving. She is a little more of a quiet soul, but she loves to laugh!! She is a little cuddle bug and is going to be such a light in this world.

I am continuing to grow closer to God during our good times and our hard times as well. I will be putting some pictures up on the blog as soon as I can find the cord to my camera!! Love to all your families and may God Bless!!

My New Promise

I have a plan to update my blog at least once a week. We will see how this plan goes with our crazy, busy life. I just want to keep people updated on what is going on with our clan. I am not the best writer nor will I ever pretend to be, but I thought this would be a good way to keep people in the loop! I will also try to let people know when it has been updated so people can log on and check it out.

Since I last update my blog we had another baby girl that we named Kennedy. She was born November 20th 2008 and will turn two this fall. Wow!! How time flies by!

We have struggled over the question of should we have any more children. Is our family complete? We know God has a plan for us and we are doing our best to understand it.

Jeremy is gearing up this fall to save as many households money as he possibly can. Five Rings Financial is growing by leaps and bounds and has added multiple new insurance products to help serve their clients. He is really excited about what the future at Five Rings Financial means for him.

I have been working part-time doing accounting for a family run business. They have a Non-Profit Program that helps teens graduate High School and go on to college. I absolutely love all of the people that I get to work with! That has been such a blessing!

Kyla is three years old and is becoming quite the little girl. She has a very big imagination and loves to pretend she is different animals and sometime certain princesses. It has been so fun to watch her grow and learn. She says the funniest stuff. I started to write down some of it, but other times just enjoy talking with her and pretending with her.

Kennedy is starting to talk. Mostly one word sentences, but she can sometimes put a few words together. She is a little cuddle bug. She is very good at giving

people hugs and kisses. She enjoys playing with her big sister and has no fear. She wants to play with the big kids!

We are so very proud of our little girls. They are really caring and sweet.

We continue to miss Ed (Jeremy's Dad) since he went to be with our savior. There sure is a huge hole in our lives without him. We continue to heal as time goes on, but probably won't ever be the same.

Please pray that God will bless our family this fall and that he will be proud of our work here on earth.

The happy little girl!

I don't know where to start because I still haven't been finding the time to post my thoughts. I guess I will start from the beginning. Last April Jeremy and I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Kyla Jean has been the light of our lives. She is such a happy baby; it makes it really easy to be a stay at home mom! When Kyla was 7 weeks old I had to go back to work. It was a very hard process to say see you later to my little baby after growing so attached. I worked as hard as I could to get back into the swing of things at the office, but it just wasn't fitting like it use to. I worked for about 4 months and decided that it wasn't going to work. My family needed me at home. It has been such a blessing to be at home. It has also been an identity crisis at times because I have worked since I was 15 years old. I know this is the best thing for my daughter, but sometimes I have a hard time knowing what I should be doing. Now my little girl is almost 1 year old and it seems like time couldn't have gone faster. I have been thinking on what type of birthday party I want to have for her. Do I just invite family or make it a big ordeal. I know that it will be fun to watch her eat a piece of cake for the first time.

Jeremy is busy working anytime that he needs to and being there for his wife and daughter. He is a really great father and husband. I couldn't ask for anything more from him. That is the best thing is that I don't have to ask him for most things; he just knows most of the time what I need and want!

Kyla and I are finally finding a routine that works pretty well and we will shortly be adding some more activities to the daily routine. We are going to be having some swimming lessons in April and going on a lot of walks. We are also going to check out the local library and see if they have a reading time that we can become a part of. I think this will help not only Kyla but me as well. I have been struggling with some Winter depression and can't wait for spring weather to be a normal thing here in Colorado.

We did go to Mexico last fall and that was a lot of fun. Here are some Mexico pictures of Kyla!

Forever and a Day!

I know it has been forever since I have posted anything on this blog. It has been so long that I will be really surprised if anyone actually reads it. I thought that it would be a good way for me to keep all my family and friends in the loop. I know that I love to read my friends blogs to find out what is going on in their families. I don't have any pictures to show at this point, but they will follow shortly!

Jeremy and I have been very busy with the holidays, the house, Real Estate, Kyla, and other priorities that have come up. We are trying to sell a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Dodge Dakota Truck; so if you know any one in the market, let us know!

We have completely remodeled our bathroom. You will have to see the before and after (soon to come). We are still in the process of deciding on paint or wall paper, puting up shelves, and hanging towel racks. The hard part is done though thanks to my hard working husband and step-dad. My dad came up to help with the bathroom because he is very good at laying tile. I don't think he knew what he was getting himself into, but it turned out absolutely magnificent!

We are also trying to do some painting, but it is a hard process when you have a little one. I don't know how some people do it. We had a Super Bowl Party and it was quite a time. Thanks to my Mom we were able to come up with some pretty good food for the party!

Well, I will write again soon when I can attach some pictures as well!

It's a Girl

Eventhough most of you already know that Jeremy and I are going to have a baby girl in April I thought that I would post the proof. We are so excited to welcome this baby girl in the spring!! She will be a very loved daughter, granddaughter and even great-granddaughter. I am about Five months pregnant now and it is just amazing the changes that my body is going through to create life. What a Miracle!! Everything seems to be going well with my pregnancy. She seems to be a healthy little baby. We do have to have another ultrasound by a specialist to see if they can find her right kidney. The doctor isn't concerned even if it turns out that our baby girl only has one kidney because a lot of people function normally with one. We will keep you updated on what the outcome of the next ultrasound is.

Thanks to everyone for there support during all the new stuff that we are coming in contact with!

Vacation

Thanksgiving was a great time. As usual Jeremy and I went with my Dad, Step-Mom, younger sis, and older sis to Mexico for vacation. Needless to say we didn't have turkey for Thanksgiving, but we did have a fun a relaxing time. It was nice to relax on the beach and do some exploring, shopping etc. These trips always give us a chance to spend time with family and experience new things together. This trip to Mexico was a little different for me since I am pregnant, so my sisters and I had a little different schedules this trip. I went to bed pretty early and woke up for breakfast while they went to bed late each night and woke up usually for lunch time. I did feel like I missed out on some fun times, but when I think about the reason it doesn't seem to be very important.

Thanks Dad and Anne for taking us to Mexico, it was a good time as always!

Fun with Friends and Family

We are just so blessed to be surrounded by the family and friends that we have. It is so fun to celebrate things with everyone! This last weekend we celebrated Jeremy's 27th Birthday! It was such a fun filled weekend. On Thursday night we had some of our friends come over for dinner. Katie, Ryan, and Eva Countryman came over and so did our friends Justin, Brandie, and Madison Manguso. The little girls were such a treat to see. They just grow up so fast. On Friday night we got to go to the Nuggets game, Trishy got us tickets for Jeremy's birthday. Thanks Trish!! We got to hang out with Trish afterwards at the Blue Sky Grill!! Saturday night we got together with my side of the family and went out to dinner! Very good company and the food was pretty good too. Sunday we celebrated with Jeremy's side of the family with some dessert that was awesome! Jeremy really liked all his presents that he got from everyone over the weekend! Thanks everyone!

Pregnancy update: I am 18 weeks along, almost half way through the process. I am starting to show so maybe the next post I will have a belly picture for your viewing pleasure. Hope this finds everyone doing well.

This is Real!

As the days go by this pregnancy thing is getting more and more real to me. I was reminded by my friend Jen what a miracle pregnancy and birth really are. God knows us from the moment we are just an egg and has his hand on us the entire time we are in our mother's womb. It is really awesome to think about how special each child is.

Jeremy has just been wonderful these past few months. He has really picked up my slack around the house and has taken great care of me when I am sick. I couldn't ask for a better man to embark on this new journey of parenthood with. I love him sooo much! After five years of marriage he still amazes me with his compassion and love.

My family and friends have also been such a great support. I have received maternity clothes from two of my really good friends and my awesome cousin! You guys are life savers. I really didn't want to spend money on maternity clothes! Now I don't think I will have to. Thank you, Thank you! Well, I wanted to put some pictures up for your veiwing pleasure so I guess I will put up some pictures from our Estes day trip that we went on a couple of weeks ago.

I know it has been way too long since I have caught all of you up on what is going on, so here it goes. Jeremy and I had our second doctor's appointment on Thursday Sept. 21st. It went pretty well. We got to hear our baby's heartbeat and everything seems to be normal. We will have our next appointment on October 23rd. Today is the 12th week mark of our pregnancy and everything seems to be going well! The days seem to drag on, but I know I need to enjoy the time with my husband because in about 6 months it won't just be the two of us anymore.

Jeremy is busy with Real Estate always drumming up new business and trying to make deals happen! It was a blast and great to get away for awhile! We first went to Luke and Lisa Spence's wedding which was a very beautiful wedding! Congratulations! Thank you for inviting us, we had a wonderful time.

While we were in California we went to the Monterey Aquarium. That we super neat. We saw otters, little sharks, tuna, jellyfish, and many more under the water creatures. They were really neat and we got quite a few good pictures, but I will only post the really cool ones to give you an idea how awesome it was.

It was also really good to see our friends Adam and Anna from Portland. They have a 15-month old son, Lukas and a baby on the way! It was good to catch up and hang out with them. We miss seeing them on a regular basis, but I guess that we will have to make plans to see them in Portland. Darn another trip :)! Do you sense the sarcasm?

After California, it was off to Las Vegas. We always enjoy everything that there is to see in Vegas. The food was wonderful, the shows were great and the company was very enjoyable. Jeremy and I were on our own this time in Vegas. In the past when we went to Vegas we were with a couple of our friends, Jon and Jenny, but they weren't able to come this time. Although it wasn't the same without Jon and Jenny, we were able to have a blast together! We saw a few of the new Casinos including the Wynn hotel which was magnificent, but I felt a little out of place there. It was very high class. We also saw the new Hard Rock Casino, that was really awesome as well. The shows we saw were really good. Here are a couple pictures with some impersonaters from one of the shows.

The left impersonater with Jeremy is of course supposed to be Elvis! The impersonaters with me on the right is supposed to be Cristina Agulara and Britney Spears. It was fun to see them perform. This show was at the Stratosphere which we were able to go to the very top (level 109) and see the entire strip. It was awesome!

It was pretty hot in Vegas, but it didn't take away from the vacation at all!

Well, I hope I didn't miss out on too much here in Colorado. Hope this finds all of you doing well!

Busy as a Bee

I am sorry that I haven't blogged for a while. Dani had a fun last night with the girls before she took the plunge!

Saturday we attended my sister, Steph's wedding. It was a very nice day for a wedding. I wish them all the best. From there we went to my cousin, Emily's graduation party. Emily graduated with her Bachelor's in Human Development and Family Studies. We went to the Silver Grill for brunch on Sunday with the Davis crew. They put candles in my French Toast. It was so cute!! On Saturday night we went with Mom and John to Johnny Carino's to celebrate both my birthday and Mother's Day with my Mom! Also after Red Lobster on Sunday my Dad and Anne took me shopping for my birthday and they bought me a new camera!!!

Well, I hope this finds you all doing well. Jeremy and I were headed to look at a house that Jeremy needed to preview. When I got into the left hand turn lane to turn someone pulled in front of us and BOOM we hit him. There was traffice between the other driver so neither of us really saw it coming. We tried to slam on the brakes, but it just wasn't enough. It was not a fun evening. At least nobody was hurt, it could've been a lot worse. I praise God that he kept us safe! Jeremy and I are both a little sore, but I think that everything will be okay.

It really makes you think about how fragile life is. I really thought about how blessed I am to have Jeremy in my life. He called the police, the tow truck, and the shop that is going to work on the car. He is my knight in shinning armor. I don't know how I would've been able to handle it alone. I just froze, I didn't get out of the car for quite awhile. Jeremy got out to see if the other driver was okay. Thank you honey from the bottom of my heart! I am so glad that he is okay! I don't think I could make it through life without him.

I just pray that the weeks to come won't be too hard on us. I know that it will be somewhat difficult dealing with insurance companies etc.

God is so Awesome

It has been a pretty hectic month at my humble abode, but looking back I am not quite sure why. It seems like a lot has happend, but for the life of me I can't think of what. Easter was a pretty full weekend. We went up to see my Grandma in Sterling and then spent Easter Sunday with Jeremy's parents.

This year Easter meant more to me than just hiding eggs and eating Easter candy(although I still ate plenty of candy). God really seemed to touch my heart with his strength and glory. I don't know if it was the sermon or just being ready to accept what God can do in our lives. It was probably a little of both! I just can't believe how blessed I feel eventhough Jeremy and I had to go through a tough and tragic experience early this year. God can really show us the good in all things!

God is so Awesome!

Weekend

We are so blessed to have such wonderful Friends and Family. I know I have said it before, but I have to say it again after this last weekend. It was filled with fun times! It started on Thursday night when we got to see an old friend that was in town from Chicago. We went out to dinner with Jon (Boston) and The Geese (Justin, Brandy, and Madison) at Jackson's all American Grill. It was a blast to catch up with them and watch some March Madness! Madison turned one year old this month and is growing up sooo fast! Happy Birthday sweetie! We also saw Ryan Countryman and his little girl Eva(she is 2 months old)! Katie Countryman(The Mommy) was at work, but we got to see her a little on Friday night at the Starfuzz gig! She looks wonderful! Motherhood really agrees with her.
Eva Jane Coutryman at left!

We then got a visit from 2 of the 3 Goodworths on Friday. Anna and Lucas stopped over and saw Jeremy and I for awhile. What an active little boy, Lucas turned one year old as well this month! Wow! Time really flies.

On Saturday we helped Grant and Jennifer move into their house in Denver! I am so glad that you guys are up here! We hope to see you more often! We also hope that settling in goes well! We also got to see Ed and Donna (Mom & Dad Davis) on Saturday! They were helping with the moving process too.

Saturday night we picked Jenny up at the Airport! We are glad that she is home safe! She had a good vacation in California visiting her friends!
Sunday we were able to see Mom and Dad Horner at Outdoor World. They had to drop off a friend at the Airport and so they stayed and had dinner with us(Jeremy, myself, and Trishy)! We had a good time!
Lucas Goodworth is pictured Above

Mom and Dad Horner plan to sell their house this summer and buy a motorhome. This will be a hard adjustment not to have a place to stay with them. My hope though is that we will have a place for their motorhome and they can come visit us anytime they want! Pray that our condo sells soon!!

We are still coping with the loss of our pregnancy, but as each day passes it gets a little easier to look to the future and hope for the next pregnancy to go well!

I think that catches you up with us! Hope this finds you all doing well!

Vacation

Jeremy and I had a very nice time sailing in the Virgin Islands this last weekend. The Angel in Paradise was a nice boat to be on and to sail. It was nice to get away and also to get to spend some time with my Dad, step-mom, little sis and Andrea(my little sister's friend). It went by way to fast, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I was glad for the relaxation and the time to regroup and figure out where we go from here.

Jeremy has a closing on March 16th and is continuing to do very well with the Real Estate business. If anyone needs a good Real Estate agent, he will work very hard to get you into a great place for a great price! :)

We are hoping to sell our condo soon and move into a house. I think that Dixie would have fun in a yard and our cars would be better stored in a garage.

Anyway here are a few pics of the trip!

2-Week Check-up

We went to the doctor's today for our 2-Week Check-up. They said that everything seems to have gone pretty well.

It wasn't a Molar pregnancy! That is a good thing, for those of you that don't know Medical jargon (like me). It was tissue that didn't form correctly. If we hadn't found this so soon then I probably would have misscarried. This also means that they do NOT have to monitor me for the next 6 Months to a year. We will be able to try again in a few months! They also said that my chances of misscarriage in the future was low. They don't worry too much about 1 misscarriage because it is so common. It is a difficult thing to go through, but I have lots of support and people that know exactly how I feel.

Keep us in your prayers. I can't tell you what they mean to us!

We will be going on a short vacation the end of this week. Hope all is well with everyone!

We love you!

I added an old picture, but at least it is something for people to look at and see how cute of a couple we are!!

Timeline

My next doctor appointment in on Monday the 6th. I was supposed to have my first Dr. Appointment today, but the doc had an emergency and had to reschedule. My new appointment will be Monday Feb. 20th at 9:30. I will have a list of questions by then and will hopefully get some answers on how things are going and what to expect!

Other than that Jeremy and I are still keeping busy with all that life has to offer!

We ended up trading in the Chrysler Sebring and buying a 2004 Dodge Intrepid. I think that it will work very well for a family car/Real Estate car. It has lots of space in the back seat for the little one's car seat(When he or she comes into the picture) and it has a huge trunk for all the Real Estate signs and etc.

I will try to get some pictures on this blog soon! I know I keep saying that. Things are so busy these days, can't seem to slow down.

Anticipation

I am past the half-way mark in my first trimester and everything seems to be going okay! I haven't seen the doctor yet, but I will go in on the 16th this month. I will hopefully get a lot of questions answered; although I have to write down all of my questions first! Jeremy is continually being a very supportive husband, no matter how emotional I get. Thanks honey! I promise that I will make this blog a little more exciting once we are able to get some pictures going. Hopefully even some ultrasound pictures!

I appreciate all of my Friends and Family! What a big support they have been! Your prayers go very far and are very powerful! Please also be praying for my Grandma as she is recoperating from surgery. Thanks!

Other things that have been going on in the Davis household:

Jeremy had his first closing in late December and is looking forward to more success in 2006. He is still enjoying helping people find a nice house for the best deal that he can get for them! We are also hoping to sell our condo and move into a house before the little one arrives! Jeremy donated blood last week for the Annual Matthew Ridge Peterson Memorial Fund! That was an experience! Our whole family appreciated that!

I am still working at Vesta Technology in the Finance department and learning more and more everyday! When I have some free time, I enjoy getting together with Friends and Family!

We had an old friend in town this last week. He is living in Taiwan right now teaching english. We will miss Matt as he has to go back this week. Have a safe flight!

The Discovery

How excited both Jeremy and I were the morning we found out that we were going to have a baby!! It was around 5am on a Friday when I took the test! I wasn't very far along if I was pregnant, but I had to know! Then once we found out the exciting news I had to tell everyone!! I have started this website so that Friends and Family can visit it and see pictures and read about what is going on in our lives.

My friend Jennifer gave me the idea, I just hope that my website is as good as hers someday!

I have been feeling fine, just a little nauseous and tired. Thank God I haven't been really sick. I hope this continues to be a good pregnancy. Keep us in your prayers! They really have helped us through some good and bad times!
